Capital Campaign

GOAL: $8.87 MILLION

A Community of Hope: Building The Farm

The cornerstone of the Launch a Legacy Capital Campaign is The Farm, a supportive community designed to give foster youth, ages 14 to 24, the tools they need to transition into independent adulthood. The Farm will include a network of homes, a community center, and spaces for life-skills training and recreational activities.

  • Safe, Stable Housing: With homes ranging from 2-bedroom independent living units to 6-bedroom supervised homes, foster youth will find the stability they need as they pursue education and employment.
  • Life-Skills Training: Our youth will receive hands-on training in practical life skills such as financial literacy, cooking, and maintaining a household—preparing them for life outside of foster care.
  • Educational and Employment Support: With dedicated staff and mentors, Direction61:3 will help youth complete their education, find employment, and build the foundation for a successful future.

The Farm will be more than just a place to live—it will be a place to grow, to heal, and to build confidence.

Together, we can help foster youth reach their full potential.

Success Stories: Meet Jaz and Faith

At Direction61:3, we’ve already seen the profound impact our work has on foster youth. Take Jaz for example. Just a day away from her 18th birthday, Jaz was about to be placed in a homeless shelter when she found Direction61:3. Over the past two years, she has flourished—earning a spot on the Dean’s List and saving up to purchase her own car through our Kingdom Cars Program. Jaz is now transferring to the University of North Texas to pursue a degree in Speech and Language Pathology.

Or consider Faith, who was homeless and felt utterly alone after aging out of foster care. Direction61:3 became her family and support system, and over the next two years, she rebuilt her life with hope and confidence. Today, Faith is married, has a child, and works at her local church, giving back to the community that supported her.

These are just two examples of the lives that have been transformed through Direction61:3. With the Launch a Legacy Capital Campaign, we aim to extend this impact to more youth in McKinney, Denton, and the surrounding areas.
